Richard John Walker

Richard "Dick" John Walker, age 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the V.A. Hospital in Fort Wayne.  Mr. Walker was born on March 26, 1932, in Waterloo, Indiana to the late Arthur Vernon and Nova Lenora (Luttman) Walker.  Dick graduated from Central High School.  He served his country honorably with the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War Era.  He was a lifetime  member of First Baptist Church.  Dick retired from Slater Steel after 36 years of service.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting.  In his later years, he loved to watch Fox News and Dancing with the Stars.
Survivors include:
Son, Larry and Beth Walker of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Judy and Willard Dahl of Fort Wayne.
Companion, Christine Roberts of Fort Wayne.
Grandchildren, Shaun Quaintance and Marla Hogle, Kimberly and Scott Huddleston, Katherine Walker, Christine and Avery Archer, and Emma Walker.
4 Great-grandchildren.
Sisters, Sharon and Don Luther, Glenda Weaver, and Pam Walker.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, Nancy Walker, and brother-in-law, James Weaver.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at North Highlands Church of Christ, 1414 Archer Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00am with visitation one-hour prior from 10:00am-11:00am at North Highlands Church of Christ.
Burial will take place at Lindenwood Cemetery.
Officiating the funeral services is Pastor Ron Collins.
Memorial donations may be directed to North Highlands Church of Christ or Donor's Choice.
