Penny Marlene Joy, age 80, of Wabash, passed away December 17, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Joy was born in Marion, Indiana on May 8, 1939 to the late Ralph Wilber Cooper and Mary Magdalene (Adkins) Cooper. She honorably served her country in the United States Army from 1958-1961 where she taught jungle warfare in Panama. She was a retired registered traveling nurse and director of medical records.

Husband, John Joy of Wabash, Indiana.
Sister, Delores Miller of Frankfort, Indiana.
Cousin, William (Connie) Ladd of Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Marion VA Hospital Chapel on the campus of the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, Indiana with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will take place at 2:00 PM at the Marion National Cemetery.
