LaVera Lydia (Brandenburg) Crone

LaVera Lydia Crone, age 91, of Fort Wayne, died at her home on August 27, 2019.  Mrs. Crone was born in Rockford, Illinois on February 4, 1928 to the late Grover and Lidea Brandenburg.  She married Don P. Crone in 1994 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he preceded her in death in 2007.

Survivors include:
Son, Clifford Thomas Payton of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Emma Jane Lipford of Tennessee.
Son, Joseph Harold Payton of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Rowena Rose Heine of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Rachel Kay Rayford of Berne.
Daughter, Brenda Kelly James of Keystone, Indiana.
Daughter, Dawn Marie Goforth of Fort Wayne.
27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Brother, Leslie Brandenburg of Illinois.
Brother, Lyle Brandenburg of Illinois.
Sister, Loise Brandenburg of Illinois.
Sister, Lavon Brandenburg of Angola.
Sister, Larve Brandenburg of Illinois.
Brother, Lawrence Brandenburg of Illinois.
Brother, Lowell Brandenburg of Illinois.
Sister, Lois Brandenburg of Illinois.
Brother, Leighten Brandenburg of Illinois.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen S. Payton and Nancy L. Moser.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior to the service.
