Georgia Marcile (Allred) Karst

Georgia Marcile Karst, age 90, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, June 17, 2019 at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.  Mrs. Karst was born in Huntington, Indiana on November 12, 1928 to Franklin Landy Allred and Mary B. (Beck) Allred.  She graduated from Rock Creek Township School and was married to Raymond J. Karst on April 30, 1949 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Huntington, Indiana.  Raymond preceded her in death on July 26, 2016.  Georgia was a homemaker and a housewife and member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. She was a skilled seamstress, loved reading and enjoyed painting with oils.  Being a mother fulfilled her strongest desire in life and she gracefully performed that role.  “To all whom have touched my life with love…God bless you until we meet again.”

Survivors include:
Son, Terry (Maggie) Karst of Churubusco.
Son, Gary (Jada) Karst of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Joyce (Denny) Drury of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Kim (Jack) Koehne of Fort Wayne.
11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Sister, Mary Lou Haworth of Fort Myers, Florida.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Powers (2006); sisters, Marjorie Mickley and Avis Freds; and a brother, Wayne Allred. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation one hour prior to the mass.
Burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
Memorial donations may be made to Charis House or St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.
