Garry L. Baker, age 75, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Monday, November 11, 2019. Mr. Baker was born in Green City, Missouri on February 13, 1944 to the late Herman and Cecile (Daniel) Baker. He graduated high school in June 1962. Garry honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1962 - 1968. He married Dianne M. Baker on September 25, 1965 in Friend, Nebraska. After his first wife passed in 2009, he married Belinda (Jones) Baker on July 6, 2013. Garry was thrilled to have the unique opportunity to be a passenger on the April 2019 Honor Flight #31 to Washington D.C. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, photography, gardening, and spending time with family.
Survivors include:
Second wife: Belinda Baker-Jones of Indiana.
Biological Daughters: Heather of Indiana & Brooke of Illinois.
Biological Grandchildren: Kody, Ameerah, & Zachary.
Step children: Kristin (Dan) Handy of Michigan; Jon Kellogg of Ohio.
Step grandchildren: Tanner, Damian, Marissa, and Dawnella.
Brother: Dwight (Helen) Baker of Colorado.
Sisters: Ramah Steininger of Pennsylvania; Rosalie (Don) Young-Lopez of Arkansas; Doris (Mike) Chenoweth of Alabama; and sister-in-law, Mary Baker of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his first Wife, Dianne (Hardin) Baker; parents, Herman & Cecile (Daniel) Baker; brothers, Gerald Baker, Kenneth Baker, and an infant brother, Edward Baker.
The memorial service with military honors has been postponed until further notice.
