Francis K. Harris

Francis K. Harris, age 75, of Poneto, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Mr. Harris was born on June 28, 1942, in Bluffton, Indiana to the late Earnest Elzey and Mary Edith (McFarren) Harris.  He graduated from Berne High School and then served his country honorably with the United States Airforce.  Francis was a lab technician for Bluffton Motor Works for over 30 years.  He enjoyed working on his Ford truck, watching western films, and spending time with his family and friends.  
Survivors include:
Wife of 53 years, Ruby (Brewer) Harris of Poneto.
Daughter, Valerie and Jeff Habig of Bluffton.
Daughter, Sheila and Greg Grimm of Poneto.
Daughter, Dawn and Farley Thornsberry of Ossian.
Son, Kelvin and Becky Harris of Bluffton.
13 Grandchildren.
10 Great-grandchildren.  
2 Brothers, Rich and Dave Harris.
1 Sister, Audrey Daniels.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents and daughter; Judy Harris, 2 Brothers; Rex and Wayne Harris, and 3 Sisters; Irene Day, Naomi Elzey, and Diane Harris.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 3:00-7:00pm at the United Methodist Church, 36 East Walnut Street, Poneto, Indiana 46781.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00am at the United Methodist Church in Poneto, Indiana.
Burial will take place in McFarren Cemetery near Poneto, Indiana.
Officiating the funeral services will be Pastor Everett Bilbery.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Poneto Methodist Church or Alexander Lee Window Preservation Fund.
