David Michael Latham

David Michael Latham, age 24, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 in West Chester, Ohio.  David was born April 4, 1993 in Howard County, Maryland to David Allen Latham and Diana Mercedes (Garcia) Hyde.  He grew up in Fort Wayne and graduated from Homestead High School in 2011.  After graduating from high school, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and honorably served his country from 2012 to 2016.  During his enlistment, he attained the rank of Corporal and received various awards and medals including the Global War on Terrorism medal and the Good Conduct medal.  He also received letters of appreciation for his volunteer work.  During those years, he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for two years and sent to his second duty station in Cherry Point, North Carolina.  He met many incredible people that are to this day considered David’s family and best friends.  He was recently married to Bryanna Rae Olson on August 19, 2017 at Lakeside Park and Rose Gardens in Fort Wayne.

His wife, Bryanna Latham of Fort Wayne.
Mother, Diana Hyde of Fort Wayne.
Father, David Latham of Maryland.
Sister, Elizabeth Latham of Fort Wayne.
Maternal grandfather, Ernesto Garcia of Fort Wayne.
Paternal grandmother, Jeanna Latham of Maryland.
Mother and father-in-law, Tami and Christopher Olson of Groveland, Florida.
Sister-in-law, Mehgan (Adrian “Eddi”) Berger of Minneola, Florida.
Sister-in-law, Taylor Olson of Gainesville, Florida.
Aunt, Nelda McAllister of Fort Wayne.
Aunt, Nancy McMillen of St. Petersburg, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his step father, Kelly Hyde in 2007 and his maternal grandmother, Loida (Rankin) Garcia.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church, 8918 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
Funeral services and military honors will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service.  Pastor Robert Henline will officiate.
Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
