Darlene Kaye Walker

Darlene Kaye Walker, age 68, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Mrs. Walker was born February 7, 1949 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Darwin and Ardola (Beer) Knepper. She married Michael Stephen Walker on May 16, 1970 and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2015.  Darlene was employed with the YMCA for several years and at General Motors with Local #2209 as secretary to the union president.  She retired in 2015 after 18 years of service.   Darlene loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  She loved her church family at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene as well and was very actively involved in church activities.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Kimm Allen of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Jamie and Todd Jackson of Fort Wayne.
Five grandchildren: Miranda and Mason Allen; Jacob, Landin and Easton Jackson.
Brother, Michael and Nancy Wilt of Fremont. 
Sister, Janette and Ed Littlejohn of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Annette Wall of Fort Wayne.
Brother, David Knepper of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wilt. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Rex Person officiating.  There will be an hour of visitation prior to the funeral service.
Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens in Fort Wayne.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace Point Church of the Nazarene.
