Ruth Cook

Ruth Marie Cook, age 86, of Kendallville, passed away January 21, 2023, at Orchard Pointe, Kendallville. Ruth was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 11, 1937 to the late George J. Cook and Sarah J. (Moran) Cook. She graduated in 1955 from St. Joseph’s Academy, Adrian, Michigan. Ruth was a professional dog groomer in Kendallville for more than 30 years. She began her dog grooming business in 1970 and formed many good, close friendships along the way. Ruth’s life was all about breeding, raising, training and showing English Springer Spaniels. She loved all her Springer Spaniels throughout the many years of owning them including London and Kelley, the two dogs she currently had. Her two dogs will miss her along with her close friends, Patty and Dan Rusmisel of LaOtto, Charlie and Sarah Fisher of Kendallville, Dennis and Pam Musselman of Kendallville and Brad and Charna Baker also of Kendallville.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kendallville. Burial will follow the mass at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville. Memorial donations may be made to Noble County Humane Society.
