EILENE K. SHAW, age 89, of Fort Wayne died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Emeritus of Fort Wayne Assisted Living.
She was born in Sterling, Illinois on February 28, 1923 to Henry Jennings and Sara (Frey) Jennings.
Mrs. Shaw graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Illinois in 1941. She later attended Goshen College for a year and then went on to graduate from Indiana University with a degree in medical technology.
She married S. Samuel Shaw in 1951 in Moline, Illinois and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1992.
Mrs. Shaw worked throughout her life as a medical technologist in the Indianapolis, Wabash and Fort Wayne areas.
She attended the Blackhawk Baptist Church in Fort Wayne and she was a supporter of the Jews for Jesus ministry.
Survivors include:
One son, David S. Shaw of Fort Wayne.
Two daughters, Sylvia Anne and Daniel Marcellis of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and Heidi and Steve Wheeler of Delmar, New York.
Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Westview Alliance Church, 9804 Illinois Road in Fort Wayne.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Westview Alliance Church in Fort Wayne.
Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Keith Moore.
Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery Gardens in Fort Wayne.
