Troy Courtney Mann

Troy Courtney Mann, age 44, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.  Mr. Mann was born on December 10, 1973 in Elkhart, Indiana to David and Brenda (Frantz) Mann.  He graduated from Homestead High School.  He continued his education at Taylor University, earning a degree in Environmental Biology. While at Taylor, Troy met Kate Halgren and they were married on July 31,1999 in Petoskey, Michigan. Troy worked in Environmental Consulting several years before earning a  teaching certificate from Ferris State. He taught Biology at Whitko High School for ten years. He then earned a Bachelors RN degree at Indiana Wesleyan, working as a registered nurse for two years at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, Florida and for one year at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Troy was an avid sports fan and outdoorsman. He loved Chicago Cubs baseball, salt water and stream fly fishing, downhill skiing, and landscaping. Most important to Troy were his faith in Jesus Christ and his beloved family.

Spouse, Kate Mann of Fort Wayne.
Children, Quinn and Dylan Mann of Fort Wayne.
Parents, David and Brenda Mann of Fort Wayne.
Brother, Todd and Jade Mann of Indianapolis.
Sister, Erika Mann of Fort Wayne.
Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Doug and Sue Halgren of Fort Wayne.

Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lloyd and Helen Frantz and Herbert and Kathyrn Mann.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Emmanuel Community Church, 12222 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46814 at 11:00am with calling two-hours prior from 9:00am-11:00am.  
Officiating the memorial service will be Pastor Bob Bruce.
