Jeffrey Allen Melvin

Jeffrey Allen Melvin, 53, of Troy Cedar Lake, Columbia City, passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center on September 7, 2015.  He was born in Plymouth, Indiana on December 19, 1961 to Martha "Marty" Melvin and Jimmie F. Melvin, Sr.  Jeffrey was passionate about mushroom hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his canine companion "Nubby."

Survivors include: 
His mother, Marty Melvin of Columbia City.
His canine companion, "Nubby".  
Sister, Debra (Ronald) Darr of Columbia City, Indiana. 
Brother, Benjamin (Annette) Melvin of Columbia City. 
Sister, Robin (Dennis) McClain of Lehigh Acres, Florida. 
Brother, Jimmie (Linda) Melvin of Columbia City. 
Brother, Mitchell (Nancy) Melvin of Fort Wayne. 
Brother, Joshua Melvin of Columbia City.
Three nephews, five nieces, and three great nieces. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie F. Melvin, Sr.    

The family will announce a celebration of life service at a later date.
