Geraldine (Zimmerman) McNaney

Geraldine (Zimmerman) McNaney, 86, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.  A lifelong Fort Wayne resident, Mrs. McNaney was born December 27, 1928 to the late George G. Zimmerman and Grace (Smith) Zimmerman.  She worked as a waitress and as a banquet waitress at Win Schulers, the Holiday Inn, The Embers Restaurant and Baerfield  Airport Restaurant.  She also worked for Walmart - Coldwater Rd, Supermarket Service, and at Woodview  in the laundry department.  

Survivors include her children:  Debra (Walter) Rommel, Brenda (Lenny) Hubbard, Ron Mc Naney, and Sandy (John) Fackler.  Her only grandchild is Jennifer Jones and great granddaughters Delayna and Elelynn Jones.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Cindy and her sister, Jeanann Chaplain.

A special thanks to the staff and hospice nurses, along with Dr Stephen Mooibroek, all with Parkview Hospital, who took loving care of our mother.  Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

A memorial service will be Thursday, June 11th, at Waynedale Baptist Church, 633 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne at 5:00pm with dinner to follow.  Brother Wayne Gullion will officiate.  Guests are encouraged to express their thoughts and stories with everyone.
