Gary Lyle Wood

Gary Lyle Wood, age 78, died Friday, March 31, 2017 at his residence in Fort Wayne.  Mr. Wood was born on July 21, 1938 in South Whitley, Indiana to Richard and Fern (Montel) Wood. He graduated from South Whitley High School and served honorably in the United States Air Force at Chambley Air Force Base in France and the Air National Guard 122nd Fighter Wing.  He married Judith Kay Bulger on June 28, 1969 in Fort Wayne.  Gary was a sales engineer with Materials Handling Equipment for 15 years before retiring in 2003.  He was a member of the American Legion and Concordia Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.

Survivors include:
Wife, Judy Wood of Fort Wayne.
Son, Jeffrey and Karen Wood of Charleston, South Carolina.
Son, Patrick and Sophia Wood of Los Angeles, California.
Three grandchildren: Stephanie Wood, Nicole Wood, and Sadie Wood.
Mother, Fern Wood of Warsaw.
Brother, Gail and Nancy Wood of Lafayette, Indiana.
Sister, Deb and Larry Meinika of Columbia City, Indiana.
Sister, Kris Keener of Warsaw, Indiana.

Visitation and funeral services will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2425 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the funeral service begining at 1:00 PM. Pastor Peter Ahlersmeyer will officiate the funeral service.
Burial will take place at a later date at the South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Indiana. 
Memorial donations may be made to the Allen County S.P.C.A or to Concordia Lutheran Church.
