GARY LEE RAPP, age 63, of Churubusco, died on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Rapp was born in Garrett, Indiana on August 5, 1950 to Dick A. Rapp,Sr. and Janice Fern (Trumbull) Rapp. His mother preceded him in death on March 29, 2009. Gary graduated from Churubusco High School in 1968 and the Nashville Auto Diesel College. He married Edna Marie Lafevor on May 26, 1972. Gary was employed as a mechanic at various places over the years including Saunder's Truck Rental in Columbia City, Montgomery Ward in Fort Wayne, Blue Bell in Columbia City, Wayne Candies in Fort Wayne, and Tokheim in Fort Wayne. Gary loved spending time with his grandkids, camping trips to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and area state parks, visiting the zoo, his pet birds and tropical fish, turtles, and the Indianapolis Colts.

Four grandchildren: Bryan, Thomas, Cody, and Katie Rapp all at home in Avilla.
Sister, Cheryl and Steve Fleetwood of Churubusco.
Brother, Dick Rapp,Jr. and his wife, Ruth of Churubusco.
Brother, Daryl and Joyce Rapp of Katy, Texas.
Brother, Aaron and Kim Rapp of Avilla.
Many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 3:00-8:00pm at the Sugar Grove Church of God, 5019 E. 500 S., Churubusco. There will also be visitation one hour before the funeral service on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00am at Sugar Grove Church of God. Officiating the funeral service will be Dean Trumbull and Pastor Richard Dickson.
Burial will be at Eel River Cemetery near Churubusco.
Preferred memorials may be made to Parkview Home Health and Hospice or to Black Pine Animal Park in Albion.
