Denny H. Armey

Denny H. Armey, age 82, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Armey was born on June 21, 1935 in Kosciusko, County to the late Harry and Anna L. (Windbegh) Armey.  Denny graudated from Jackson T.R. High School and then continued his education at a Barber School in Louisville, Kentucky where he obtained his license.  On November 21, 1956, he married Betty Spencer at 1st Church of God in Beattyville, Kentucky.  Denny owned and operated Diplomat Sty-Lon in Fort Wayne for 50 years.  He was a champion barber and stylist.  He loved his line of work and the fellowship with his clients.  Denny belonged to the American Legion, Shriners, and was a Free Mason.  Denny loved music and taught himself how to play the guitar and the piano. He lived for helping others.  He would travel to take care of client's needs in nursing homes and funeral homes.  Denny loved his family and enjoyed all the time he spent with his grandchildren.  
Survivors include:
Spouse, Betty Armey.
Daughter, Denise Whitman.
Daughter, Tonya Garzella.
Grandchildren, Colin and Jamie Whitman, Benjamin and Heidi Whitman, Corey Garzella, Kendall Whitman, Craig Garzella, and Mackenzie Whitman.
Great-grandchildren, Jhett Whitman and Kingsley Garzella.
Sister, Betty Olson.

Denny was also preceded in death by 7 siblings.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1:00pm with calling two-hours prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at Christ Our Treasure Fellowship, 1825 Getz Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
Burial with Military Honors will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens.
Officiating the funeral service will be Deacon Neil Clay.
