Daniel R. Tobey

Daniel R. Tobey, age 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his residence.  Mr. Tobey was born on October 16, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Hugh R. and Jean (Parkanzky) Tobey.  He graduated from Central Catholic High School.  Dan served his country honorably with the United States Army as an E-4 Specialist in France during the Vietnam War era.  He worked for General Electric in Fort Wayne for 27 years before retiring.  Dan enjoyed auctions and flea markets and was an antique and collectibles dealer for many years.  He was a folk artist and was well known for his “Toby Art.”

Sister, Alice J. and John Freenor of Torrance, California.
Brother, Thomas G. Tobey of Australia.
Brother, Edward and Judy Tobey of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Barbara Wallace of Ligonier.
Sister, Margaret D. Delucenay of Goshen.
Sister, Linda R. and Dean Duesler of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Bonnie T. and George Manning III of Fort Wayne.
Many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11a.m. with visitation prior from 9:30a.m. -11:00a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815.  
Burial will take place at 2:00p.m. at Marion National Cemetery.
Officiating the funeral services will be Father Royce Gregerson.
