Charles L. Laux, age 72, of Pleasant Lake, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Laux was born on Novemeber 30, 1944 in Huntington, Indiana to the late Robert and Pauline (Shuman) Laux.  He graduated from Columbia City High School and then continued his education at Saint Francis University in Fort Wayne.  Mr. Laux served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was also stationed for 3 years.  Charlie worked as a laborer for B.F. Goodrich in Fort Wayne for 26 years and then worked for Cooper Tire where he retired.  He also had a side job of laying carpet in the surrounding area.  On December 31, 2006 he married Shearon Baldwin at Norris Chapel United Methodist Church in Auburn. Charlie loved camping and camped at the Happy Acres campground in Angola.  At the campground, he enjoyed mowing and hosting hayrides.  He had an interest in farming and helped as farm hand when he was growing up.

His spouse, Shearon "Sherri" Laux of Pleasant Lake.
Daughter, Tonya Rothgeb of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Amy Shinners of Fort Wayne.
Son, John and Christina Laux of Warsaw.
Step-daughter, Marsha Baldwin and Vergel Hasselschwert of Cecil, Ohio.
Step-daughter, Robin Baldwin of Grabill.
Step-daughter, Heide and Jason Sampson of Stockport, Ohio.
Step-daughter, Sheryl and Bob Carr of Waterloo, New York.
Step-daughter, Cassandra L. Parkerson of Fort Wayne.
Step-daughter, Gavriel Ben-Tsvulun of Fort Wayne.
Step-daughter, Nina Ben-Tsvulun of Fort Wayne.
Step-daugther, Danielle Ben-Tsvulun of Fort Wayne.
Granddaughter, Jessica Bjorklund of Fort Wayne.
Granddaughter, Charlee Rothgeb of Fort Wayne.
Many Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.
Brother, John and Joanne Laux of Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Sister, Susie and Bob Hudson of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Judy and Rod Powell of Fort Wayne.
Many Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.

Charie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bobby Laux.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00am at the American Legion Post #0031, 1760 W Maumee St, Angola, IN 46703 with calling 1 hour prior from 10:00-11:00am.
Burial will take place on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00am at Marion National Cemetery in Marion.
Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Ken Jackson.
Memorial donations may be directed to American Legion Post #0031.
