Betty Jane (Hupp) Meyers

BETTY JANE MEYERS, age 85, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne.  Mrs. Meyers was born in Bluffton, Indiana on April 3, 1930 to the late Hamblin and Luciel (Hupp) Cobb.  Betty was a carhop at The Dutch Mill in Bluffton in the 1940's, and she was a 1947 Bluffton High School graduate.  She married Robert Franklin  Meyers on March 13, 1948 in Montpelier, Ohio.  Betty was a homemaker and hosted toy demonstration parties. Later, she was employed as a secretary with Supermarket Services in Fort Wayne, a subsidiary of A&P Tea Company of Montvale, New Jersey.  She retired in 1994.  She loved homemaking, camping, traveling and spending the winter months with her husband Bob in Harlingen, Texas.

Survivors include: 
Husband, Robert F. Meyers of Fort Wayne.
Son, Kederick A. Meyers of Shelbyville, Indiana.
Son, Randol K. (Sharon) Meyers of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Lucinda (Timothy) Fenbert of Fort Wayne.
6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren,
Sister, Jacklyn Reichard of Bluffton.
Brother, Jim (Arzetta) Cobb of Bluffton.
Brother, Jerry (Jean) Cobb of Bluffton.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Cobb.

A celebration of the life of Betty Jane Meyers will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Classic Café, 4832 Hillegas Road in Fort Wayne from 5:00-8:00pm.
